I Remember......DAD

I remember those days when I used to be very eager to celebrate my father's birthday, Father's Day, and so on. For such days, I made greeting cards with some crafts knowledge that I had. I never bothered about how hard is it to make, all that encourages me is that little and cute smile of my dad. Once I see it on his face I feel like I just climbed Mt Everest peak. I remember how I and my sister used to compete in making the best gift for my dad and asking him to select the best one.

I remember those days when I and my dad used to go to school on a bike, all the way my father used to talk about the G.K. in my surroundings, actually, it is correct to say all the way he used to teach. I remember how he becomes a child to play with me, a teacher to punish me, and a mom to love me like no one. I remember how he convinces me to not eat many chocolates by saying that they are made of clay mud that I hate. I remember his little and unexpected sense of humor. I remember those days when I used to wake him up during midnights and ask to sleep along with him cause I am scared. He is like a strong and unbeatable barrier who makes me feel so secure.

If someone asks me what is the difference between FATHER & DAD, I say dad is a father who becomes a horse to play with his child, a royal chair (shoulders) to lift, a friend to share all the chores, an artist to color coloring books, a writer to complete his kid's homework, an actor who never cries, always tries to smile in front of kids.

I feel this Father's Day is not just a day to express our gratitude to our fathers, it is a day to say ourselves that I remember my dad who............

Writing needs a page called heart, an ink called knowledge and a pen called thoughts.
